This letter acknowledges receipt of your written complaint against:
Dana R. Jones, DVM, Durant Road Animal Hospital & Kennel
10220 Durant Road, Raleigh, NC 27614.
Kevin Arthur Monce, DVM, VetSound, Inc.
1105 Sturdirant [sic] Road, Cary, NC 27511
According to Board Administrative Rule, a copy of this complaint is being
mailed to the licensed veterinarian. The veterinarian is required to
respond in writing to the Board within 20 days of the receipt of the complaint.
You will be sent a copy of the veterinarian's response. You are
required to respond to that letter within 20 days.
A Committee on Investigations, consisting of three Board members, will review
your initial complaint, the response of the veterinarian, other relevant information,
and your reply. The Committee may make a determination of the complaint
without conducting interviews. In some cases the matter is sent to a
formal hearing.
If a hearing is deemed necessary, the Board will assume, unless advised to
the contrary, that you will be willing to appear, to offer evidence to support
your complaint, and to testify under oath as a witness.
The decision of the Committee will be mailed to all parties.
